3D Printing Info
What is 3D Printing?
3D printing, is the creation of construction of a three-dimensional object using thermoplastic materials. A computer aided design (CAD) file divides the design into program layers. Once inputted into the printer the object is created using a layering process in which the the filament is laid down in successive layers of the filament from the bottom of the design and up until the item is completed.
Type of 3D Printing used
Although there are several types of 3D printing methods we at PrintStarz use Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) to create our items. FDM printing creates 3D prints by melting and layering thermoplastics into the desired object.
OUR MATERIALS
PLA Filament
Most of our deigns are printed using environmentally friendly PLA. Please note that these 3D prints are designed for indoor use only and should be kept in areas not exposed to high heat. If used outdoors, please be aware that the PLA products can warp, and the product may degrade due to sun exposure.

PETG Filament
All of our designs are available using PETG as well. However, please note we may need to order in colors to complete your purchase which may lead to delays in productions time. Ever effort will be made to limit this delay to 2-3 days in addition to our current production times. Our in stock colors are continuously expanding so please continuously check back.
Items printed in PETG can be displayed in a a hot car or outdoors in direct sunlight without risk of it deforming or warping, withstanding temperatures up to 175-185 degrees Fahrenheit.
